Strategic Initiatives Manager 2
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Strategy team, which is part of the sector’s
Strategy & Growth organization . This position will be based in El Segundo, CA, Falls Church, VA or Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for leading the development of organic and inorganic portfolio shaping strategies that optimize the sector’s positioning for long‑term value creation.
Develop strategic framework and business case to shape the portfolio, to include scenario modeling, investments & return on investments, and recommendations such as strategic partnership, business restructuring, merger, acquisition, divestiture, or market entry or exit.
Lead strategic gap analysis with divisions and functions to identify technology, capability, and process gaps.
Research opportunities for potential acquisition, investment, and strategic partnership by collaborating across the enterprise to identify and assess candidates.
Conduct thorough candidate screening and due diligence to determine strategic, operational, and financial fit and lead project teams to ensure timely and cohesive deliverables.
Lead internal cross‑functional teams through ad hoc analyses to succinctly and accurately present findings to leadership in response to, or support of, executive‑sponsored special projects with dynamic requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in business, finance, engineering/science, or a related discipline; OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
Experience as a team lead or manager with ability to effectively manage cross‑functional stakeholders and delegate tasks in support of multiple priorities.
Experience in financial analysis, strategy development, and/or project management.
Proven ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources with the ability to visualize in a meaningful manner.
Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management.
Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other relevant graduate degree. A technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge in the aerospace and/or defense industry.
Background in Consulting, Venture Capital Investment, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Strategy and Development.
Extensive experience developing executive briefings and presenting to an executive leadership team.
Dynamic self‑starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to function with minimal guidance.
Current DOD Secret or higher clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 – $219,800.00. This range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
