Lead Instrument Equipment Technician - Nights . This role offers a meaningful way to contribute to patient care through advanced equipment management and sterilization processes.
Responsibilities
Provide direction and coordination of personnel during assigned shifts.
Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment; assemble wraps and sterilize trays of instruments following standard precautions.
Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination.
Leverage instrument tracking system to update instrument details.
Perform basic equipment troubleshooting prior to contacting Biomed or OEM for repair.
Provide daily station assignments to create appropriate departmental workflow.
Assist in quality assessments and identify educational opportunities for staff.
The Must-Haves Minimum
High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of sterile processing or operating room scrub technician experience.
3 years of experience in lieu of education.
Preferred
Education and/or training in Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, or other equivalent medical training.
