Job Overview
HF Sinclair El Dorado Refining LLC is seeking an E & I Instrument Technician to conduct maintenance and repairs on all instrumentation equipment in the refinery.
Responsibilities
Provide maintenance, installation, and repairs of all control systems in a fuels refinery.
Ensure control systems and analyzers are operating properly.
Respond to upsets and abnormal operating instances.
Ensure operations and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Respond to emergency situations.
Required Experience & Education
Minimum of three years of related work experience.
Minimum of a High School Diploma; completion of a formal program in Instrumentation or control systems preferred.
Required Skills
Knowledge of repairs of industrial electrical and control systems and equipment.
Experience in repair and maintenance of motor controls, electrical distribution equipment, pressure, level, temperature, flow, and other industrial instrumentation.
Ability to read layouts, schematics, installation, and technical/maintenance manuals.
Demonstrated proficiency through craft assessments, interviews, and practical tests.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility None stated.
Work Conditions
Outdoor refinery environment, exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, rotating equipment.
Requires working in confined spaces, adverse weather, and a flexible schedule (overtime, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts).
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking, hearing.
Reach or grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs, push or pull up to 50 lbs, climb over 100 ft.
Operate company vehicles; valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required.
Wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
