Job Summary:
Provide support in the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer systems. This position addresses a wide variety of applications, hardware, and networks.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and upgrade workstation and peripheral hardware and software.
Analyze and resolve workstation, application, and server related problems.
Update desktop software/applications; maintain documentation on installed applications.
Provide users with assistance in working in specific applications.
Participate in development of standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Up to two years of job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
IT Problem Solving Skills.
RHEL, Windows, and Mac OS skills.
Experience building and working with systems designed, built, and maintained to meet stringent federal security and regulatory requirements.
Experience with ensuring system compliance with relevant government regulations, including DoD directives, NIST guidelines, FISMA, and other applicable security and privacy standards.
Skills Knowledge of and skill in the installation and maintenance of information technology hardware and software; problem solving; decision making; customer service; system documentation and communications.
