Position Overview The
Lead Engineering Technology Analyst – BIM, Cloud & Data Solutions
plays a critical role in supporting the Engineering Solutions group by providing technical expertise, system analysis, and strategic guidance on engineering software and technology platforms. This role partners closely with Technology and Cybersecurity teams to evaluate, test, and support engineering applications while ensuring compliance with performance, compatibility, and security standards.
The position directly supports engineering project delivery by managing engineering applications, maintaining system documentation, supporting cloud-based data environments, and enabling effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. The analyst contributes to operational efficiency, data integrity, and informed decision-making across major capital and infrastructure programs.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, support, and optimize engineering applications including Bluebeam Revu, Bluebeam Org Admin Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, Navisworks, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Esri ArcGIS Pro, NearMap, and BMMS.
Coordinate software deployments, upgrades, and version updates across engineering platforms.
Customize application configurations to meet engineering and project-specific requirements.
Evaluate emerging engineering software and hardware technologies and prepare analysis reports for senior management.
Collaborate with Technology and Cybersecurity teams to review software requests and ensure security and compliance standards.
Maintain system documentation and deliver onboarding and training sessions for engineering staff.
Troubleshoot application-level issues and implement minor functional enhancements based on user feedback.
Support Engineering Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) teams with project data management and point cloud data storage.
Manage Microsoft Azure storage environments for engineering project data archiving.
Lead task planning and prioritization aligned with engineering and organizational objectives.
Facilitate internal workshops and "Knowledge Bar" presentations to promote best practices and tool adoption.
Participate in interdepartmental and client meetings with PANYNJ stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry supporting engineering technology initiatives.
Extensive hands‑on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, including document and project information management systems.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat Pro, including PDF production workflows, markup, and collaboration.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering project data workflows, including 3‑D scanned point cloud data storage systems.
Strong system‑analysis skills, including the ability to generate detailed software license utilization and usage reports.
Experience supporting Engineering Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) teams across complex engineering projects.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Lake or cloud‑based storage environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI for reporting, documentation, and data visualization.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification.
Experience supporting public‑sector or transportation‑related agencies.
Prior experience working in large, multi‑stakeholder engineering environments.
