This is a hands‑on position responsible for scheduling service work and selling additional needed service to customers. This is a fast paced environment with high expectations where you are rewarded for doing exceptional work. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Friday from 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m. and Saturday 7:00a.m.-3:00p.m. The Service Advisor is responsible for the following:
Greet customers and answer service calls in a timely, friendly manner.
Schedule appointments and communicate with customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem(s), establish a time line, and estimate the cost of repair.
Conduct preliminary inspection of customer’s vehicle by lifting hood and visually assess for potential additional repairs needed.
Test drive vehicles or refer to the test technician as necessary.
Assign sequence numbers to each customer’s repair orders, obtain customer and vehicle data, establish customer’s payment method, and ensure all documents are accounted for and signed.
Maintain customer satisfaction by following up on repair orders, contacting customers regarding any changes in the estimate or time promised, and recording all changes on the RO.
Accomplish the forecast that has been established by management.
Advise customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, using maintenance menus (if applicable).
If additional work is needed, explain the details to customer, including the additional cost and time considerations.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately reports any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
All other duties assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Reliable & detail oriented
Self‑motivated
Ability to multi‑task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Exceptional communication & follow‑up skills
Basic computer and phone skills
Minimum of 2 years of previous Service Advisor (or similar) experience to include billing and closing tickets as well as quoting jobs
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally with assistance, stand for multiple hours during shift, and regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel
