Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (General X‑Ray)
Shift / Tour of Duty
Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Split: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Evenings: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Nights: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
On‑call may be required (15‑minute response, 60‑minute on‑site)
Compensation: Starting at $50.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and Wellness
Position Overview The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs a wide range of general diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopy, operating room imaging, and portable examinations. Technologists work under the general supervision of a Radiologist and provide imaging services to Veterans with complex medical, physical, and mental health conditions.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per established protocols
Operate ionizing radiation equipment and maintain radiation safety
Position patients, select technical factors, annotate images, and ensure exam completeness
Archive images and documentation in PACS and DHCP systems
Provide portable X‑ray services throughout the medical center
Maintain patient identification, safety, comfort, and confidentiality
Recognize emergencies and provide initial response until relieved
Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications
ARRT certification (Radiography) – Required
Experience performing fluoroscopy, OR, and portable exams
Familiarity with GE imaging equipment
Knowledge of Philips IntelliSpace PACS highly desirable
