Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Occupational Health
Location:
Charlotte, NC
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (No weekends)
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage occupational and work-related injuries and illnesses
Conduct pre-employment physicals, fit-for-duty exams, return-to-work evaluations, and DOT physicals (if certified)
Provide employee health education, injury prevention strategies, and wellness support
Manage acute and chronic conditions related to occupational exposures
Collaborate with employers, HR teams, and workplace safety personnel to ensure compliance and support health initiatives
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in the EHR
Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and applicable state/federal occupational health regulations
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
Certification as FNP, ANP, or PA-C required
DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; occupational medicine or urgent care experience preferred
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
Strong knowledge of occupational health practices, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements
Excellent diagnostic, communication, and independent clinical decision-making skills
