Job Summary Oversee and perform all activities associated with outpatient registration and scheduling. Support other front‑office staff, coordinate demographic and insurance intake, computerized registration, and verification of insurance coverage. Orient patients to the center and coordinate additional patient services as needed.
Responsibilities
Answer phones, assist customers, and fulfill cross‑trained responsibilities.
Support effective orientation and continuous development of center staff.
Maintain daily scheduling status and address potential problems with corrective actions.
Complete patient pre‑registration, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling per center standards.
Greet patients, assist them, and notify appropriate staff of patient arrival.
Handle administrative duties such as answering calls, confirming appointments, supporting insurance processes, photocopying, typing, faxing, inventory of supplies, and sorting mail.
Set up, maintain, and discharge medical records in a timely manner.
Process monthly patient satisfaction questionnaires for current patients.
Deliver customer service to achieve stated goals.
Record insurance approvals and documentation in medical records and computer systems.
Enter and reconcile therapy charges as assigned.
Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a Related Field preferred
Experience
Two years in a medical/physician office setting and/or experience with insurance benefits (2‑3 years preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
Work independently, be self‑directed, and contribute as a team member.
Anticipate challenges and develop strategies to address them.
Provide high level of service delivery and demonstrate initiative.
Prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
