Part‑Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community.

This position is eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus!
Objective Provide support to those with developmental disabilities in a person‑centered way. Encourage independence and daily personal growth while assisting with cares and engaging in home and community activities.
Schedule Work anywhere from 8 to 40 hours a week. Requires working at least every other Saturday and Sunday and fill‑in/holidays. Shifts may include 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM, or 4:00 PM–8:00 PM.
Wage $16.50 per hour after 90‑day introductory period, starting at $16.00 per hour.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct care for others in an individualized and meaningful way.
Assist in personal cares.
Engage in community activities such as bowling, shopping, watching a movie, or exercising.
Complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and dressing.
Complete household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Maintain HIPAA compliance in all communications.
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
Willingness to learn.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Good communication skills.
Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass a driving record check unless otherwise noted.
Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
Prior experience as CNA, PCA, caregiver, DSP, or healthcare‑related professional is preferred.
