As a CPI Manufacturing Engineer III, you will work independently to develop and re‑engineer manufacturing processes using Lean methodologies to improve quality, cost, and efficiency while driving cultural change and mentoring other engineers. This role leads cross‑functional, large‑scale projects from capital justification through production launch, provides hands‑on manufacturing support, and controls the implementation of new processes, materials, equipment, and automation.

As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you will hold accountability for developing and re‑engineering manufacturing processes through Lean methodologies to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. Promote culture changes using JIT, VSM, Kaizen, Setup Reduction and TPM/OEE in a hands‑on role.
The Manufacturing Engineer III works independently with minimal follow‑up from management and assists with the development of other engineers in the department. Proactive in identifying and prioritizing future projects and can lead implementation from CapEx justification to manufacturing handoff and process control. Leads cross‑functional teams on large‑scope projects that span the production environment, product development, and supply chain.
Provide manufacturing support and promote process improvement. Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective actions; researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment. Controls the release of new processes, materials, and automation to production.
Essential Functions
Leads, supports and facilitates ongoing growth and cost reduction by conducting Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping Events and Lean training as needed.
Development of Standard Work and an Escalation Process.
Cross‑functional team leadership and provides mentorship to the broader ME group.
Comfortable presenting data and financial analytics to leadership.
Development and Promotion of Flow in both manufacturing and administrative processes to eliminate waste.
Experience with the AQPQ process and ownership of product introduction.
Assists in the development of a Lean Strategy to be implemented plant wide.
Supports a lean, high‑performance culture that encourages continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
Generates Process Flow diagrams of assigned production work‑flows.
Determines and controls all critical manufacturing process control parameters through documentation and equipment regulations (software).
Monitors and improves the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as data collection and interpretation from technical and operating personnel.
Generates monthly operations reports, KPI’s and works with the Engineering Manager and finance to evaluate against objectives, operating costs and project management status. Adjusts plans based on variances.
Provides Engineering service to the shop floor and other departments. Works with Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Production Control and Maintenance personnel in resolving production problems.
Assists in training the Manufacturing department set‑up and operational personnel as it relates to the proper set‑up and use of tooling and equipment.
Additional Functions
Assists with efforts in keeping our manufacturing data current and accurate in ERP.
Active participant on Safety Committees.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies
BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or other applicable field, or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years of applicable and diverse experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
In depth training and experience/implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Experience with Six Sigma, preferably trained at a green or black belt level.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety requirements preferred.
High aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting.
Experience managing facility‑related activities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and ERP systems.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
Must be willing to travel domestically 25‑50%.
Lift up to 25 lbs.
