Position Summary The AV Events Specialist supports audio production, AV system setup, and live event execution for corporate communications, enterprise meetings, training sessions, and multimedia projects. This role ensures high-quality audio editing, reliable AV system operation, and consistent support for both in-person and hybrid events.

The specialist is responsible for audio engineering, live sound operation, streaming support, equipment maintenance, and event-ready AV infrastructure management. This position actively contributes to improving PCG’s AV reliability, technical capabilities, and long-term production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Edit, mix, and master audio for corporate video communications, podcasts, interviews, audiocasts, and training content.

Enhance audio quality through mixing, cleaning, EQ, compression, leveling, and noise reduction.

Support studio and on-site recording sessions, including proper mic selection, placement, and gain staging.

Perform A1-level duties during events, including FOH mixing, monitor mixes, and live audio routing.

Create and manage audio console, show files, snapshots, and presets for recurring events.

Record multitrack audio for post-production when needed.

Live Event & AV Support

Transport, set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment for meetings, trainings, corporate town halls, and hybrid events.

Operate digital audio consoles, microphones (wired and wireless), speakers, monitors, projectors, switchers, PTZ cameras, and AV racks.

Conduct sound checks, RF coordination, input/output verification, and stage patching prior to events.

Mix and monitor dedicated livestream audio feeds separate from in-room audio when required.

Support cueing, run-of-show execution, backstage communication, and presenter readiness.

Set up and operate basic lighting for events, including key lights and panel lighting for presenters and cameras.

Assist with streaming platforms (Teams Live Events, Vimeo, OBS, or similar).

Ensure accurate wiring, signal flow, and room configuration based on event designs.

Manage equipment teardown, safe transport, and post-event organization.

AV System Maintenance & Technical Operations

Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, diagnostics, and repairs on AV equipment.

Maintain conference room technology, including cameras, microphones, audio DSPs, switchers, and Teams Rooms/Zoom Rooms endpoints.

Program or update presets for DSPs, switchers, or control systems (Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron) as needed.

Assist with AV-over-IP environments and Dante audio networking in system routing and troubleshooting.

Conduct regular AV system health checks and ensure all hardware is updated, organized, and event-ready.

Maintain documentation, signal-flow diagrams, equipment maps, and room configuration records.

Conduct technical rehearsals with presenters and event stakeholders.

Provide on-site troubleshooting during events and respond quickly to unexpected technical issues.

Consult with internal teams on AV needs, equipment recommendations, and room setup options.

Support runbooks, SOP creation, checklists, and repeatable workflows to improve production consistency.

Partner with IT, Events, and other internal groups to deliver seamless hybrid and in-person experiences.

Salary range Salary range: $ 59,500-80,00 0 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, AV Technology, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.

3-5 Years of Experience in Audio Engineering, AV Technology, or related field

20% of position dedicated to travel.

Proficiency in audio editing platforms such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Audacity.

Experience operating digital audio consoles and live sound equipment.

Strong understanding of AV setup, cabling, signal flow, and troubleshooting.

Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve quickly during live events.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage equipment and inventory.

Ability to lift and transport AV equipment safely.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Dante audio networking or AV-over-IP environments.

Familiarity with video production workflows (e.g., DaVinci Resolve – Fairlight).

Experience supporting corporate streaming platforms (Teams Live Events, Zoom, OBS, Vimeo).

AVIXA CTS, Dante Certification, or related industry credentials.
