In our Med/Surg acuity unit at Frankfort, we care for patients across all ages. The 12‑bed unit has a 4–6 to 1 nurse/patient ratio and includes house supervision. Nurses care for adult (18yo+) patients, including those that require IV medication drips, stroke patients, orthopedics, and PCU patients. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a step‑down setting. Administer IV medication drips, manage post‑stroke and orthopedics care. Call and run codes, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and document patient status. Assist in unit education and serve as a role model for new staff. Qualifications

1 year RN experience required. Assumes an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active RN license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit specialty. Why Join IU Health?
