Description:

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment. The role requires consideration of each patient’s unique and/or age‑related needs, proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce optimal, high‑quality images. All examinations are performed with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator, with ALARA awareness.

Responsibilities:

- Perform and interpret all radiologic studies as requested by physicians.

- Evaluate patients for specific imaging needs and prepare equipment accordingly.

- Ensure quality control and safety standards for radiation exposure.

- Maintain accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Education meets certification, license, or registration requirements.

Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.

National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.

National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

New graduates must hold an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
