Job Description As a Home Health Registered nurse, you’ll provide compassionate care in the comfort of patients’ homes. You’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care, while ensuring patients receive the best possible treatment in a home health setting. You’ll work independently, using your nursing skills to follow best practices and stay in line with home health guidelines. This role includes utilizing technology, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare team members to coordinate care.

Position Details
Position Type: Per Diem (variable shifts)
Location: Las Vegas - Laughlin area (This position is over an hour away from Las Vegas)
Mileage: Paid mileage for travel to patient homes

Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in their home setting.
Develop personalized care plans to meet the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
Use the nursing process to ensure care is delivered effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with policies and regulations.
Provide education and support to patients and their families to help them understand and manage their health conditions.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate and deliver care.
Document all care provided in compliance with home health guidelines.
Ensure a safe and healing environment for patients, helping them feel supported and cared for in their home.
Minimum Qualifications
Current RN License in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
A valid driver’s license, insured, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN must obtain their BSN within 4 years of their start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Two years of experience as an RN.
Experience in Acute Care, Home Health, or Hospice settings is a plus.
Physical Demands
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, and driving a vehicle.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of furniture, equipment, power cords on the floor, etc). Need to ascend and descend stairs or uneven surface in order to access patients.
Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
