Pediatric Dental Assistant
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Job Overview We are seeking a full‑time Pediatric Dental Assistant to join a premier pediatric dental practice in Arlington Heights, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring a positive, comfortable experience for pediatric patients. This role involves hands‑on clinical support and patient education in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.
Base Pay Range $40,000 per year – $42,000 per year
Responsibilities
Prepare pediatric patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort throughout visits
Assist dentists during procedures by maintaining a clean, dry oral field and handing instruments as needed
Sterilize, organize, and prepare dental instruments and treatment rooms
Take dental x‑rays and intraoral photographs as required
Educate patients and parents on procedures, treatment plans, and oral hygiene
Support all aspects of clinical dental care in a pediatric setting
Primary Skills

Instrument sterilization and setup
Patient education and communication
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
Coronal polishing
Pit and fissure sealants
Experience in pediatric dentistry
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience (Required)
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
Experience working with children
Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred)
Coronal Polishing & Pit/Fissure Sealants Certifications (Preferred)
