Bus Operator
We are currently looking for experienced Bus Drivers to join our elite team in Merced, CA. As a key member of our YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) you will be entrusted with ensuring safe, timely, and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Benefits
Starting hourly rate of $20.00 with an increase to $22.00 after training and starting service

Key Responsibilities
Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by following scheduled routes and adhering to safety protocols.
Passenger Care: Provide exceptional care for passengers, ensuring smooth boarding and timely disembarkation.
Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, reporting maintenance issues and maintaining cleanliness.
Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies, seat belt enforcement, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
21 years or older
Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement – preferred
Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work shifts and flexible schedules.
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
Physical Requirements
Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather for 100% of the job.
Sit for extended periods up to 6–8 hours; walk long distances on uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to 100+ pounds; lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed.
Work in heavy traffic areas, tolerate dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
