R0002196The **Assistant Chemist** uses analytical skills in performing specialized lab tests at our factory.**Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:*** In the absence of the other lab personnel, including the Factory Chemist, this position ensures required lab tests are performed and results recorded.
May perform tests and record results.* Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the lab and maintain all laboratory records.* Prepares and standardizes solutions.* Responsibility for sugar and by-product analysis.* Performs routine lab maintenance, including troubleshooting and basic repair and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.**Job Requirements:*** High School Diploma or GED certificate is required.* 4 Year College Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science, to include two years of chemistry.* Valid Driver’s License* Must be able to reference, read and understand how to use MSDS information.* Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively to direct and supervise lab personnel.# Compensation Range:$34.26 - $34.26 /hr# Benefits Include:## Our benefits include eligibility for comprehensive medical insurance starting on day one.In addition, we offer Pension, 401(k) retirement savings plan with a Company match, paid dental, paid basic life insurance, paid short -term disability, voluntary long-term disability, life insurance, vision insurance, health savings account, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, paid sick leave, paid parental leave, and paid holidays.
