Primary Purpose Provide project controls cost engineering support to Directors, Managers of Projects, Project Managers, contractors and other key team members. Develop and monitor the annual budgets, actual and forecasted costs, and Long Range Plans for transmission, substation, distribution, and gas (PECO and BGE) projects and programs. Utilize Exelon systems to support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, project authorization, work management, contracts and material tracking. Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit and prepare comprehensive reports.

Primary Duties
Manage project forecasting, accrual, and status process and identify budget issues early (25%).
Assist in developing and monitoring budgets & LRPs, tracking budgets, forecasts, and actuals (20%).
Manage project and program financial risks, analyze variances and support project management meetings (15%).
Develop and present project and program performance reports (10%).
Schedule and facilitate monthly forecasting and accrual meetings; prepare project accruals and journal entries (10%).
Analyze data accuracy for Sarbanes‑Oxley audits (10%).
Manage vendor forecasting process for forecasting and accruals (5%).
Support Project Managers for presentations and forms required for project authorization (5%).
Job Scope
Individual contributor position working independently with general direction.
Routine interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers and staff.
May require extended hours and/or shift work.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Financial or Technical Field.
4‑7 years related experience, or 6‑9 years relevant business experience in lieu of a degree.
Comprehensive understanding of standards, methods, processes and performance metrics in electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission, distribution, regulatory affairs, and planning.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills.
Knowledge of financial/cost analysis practices, performance analysis, benchmarking, and audit compliance.
Ability to analyze data, recommend alternatives, and implement interventions to attain performance targets.
Demonstrated analytical skills for project evaluation and risk mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial advanced degree.
5‑8 years project cost tracking experience in electric/gas transmission, distribution, and substation industry.
Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and specialized business technologies.
Proficient in business case development and presentation to leadership.
