Job Overview Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA)

FLSA Status/Salary: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Location: Wendell, NC

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to provide superior out‑patient care for our Wendell Urgent Care. The successful candidate will possess general knowledge of standard care procedures, sanitation, and medical records documentation, and will demonstrate good interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal.

Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.

Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment and examination of patient.

Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

Maintain awareness of comfort and needs of the patient.

Phlebotomy.

Perform drug screens, DOT & Non‑DOT physicals.

Respond to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.

Prepare rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.

Education and Experience Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Characteristics and Physical Demands Ability to utilize electronic medical records systems.

Proficient use of lab and medical equipment.

Provide customer service in accordance with clinic mission.

Demonstrate ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members.

Position may require extended periods of standing or being on one’s feet along with occasional bending or kneeling.
