Job Summary Assist laboratory personnel with the performance of various laboratory functions as directed by Laboratory Management. This is an onsite, full‑time position supporting the Lebanon, NJ location.
Essential Functions
Ensure that all glassware is properly washed and stored in the assigned locations.
Perform routine laboratory support tasks that enable laboratory personnel to meet the laboratory’s testing demand effectively and efficiently. Job duties include, but are not limited to, preparing sample/standard solutions, cutting plastic bottles and caps, crushing glass utilizing a ball mixer, weighing materials, maintaining chemical inventories, disposing of waste, and conducting basic chemistry tests.
Perform analysis such as FTIR, light transmission and DSC analyses and document results within cGMP guidelines.
Independently perform USP Container Qualification Testing.
Perform weekly laboratory maintenance as directed by laboratory management.
Adhere to quality and safety programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member.
Promote and support the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; act in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
Qualifications Education and Experience
High School diploma is required. Associate’s degree in chemistry or a related field is preferred and prior work experience (minimum of 1 year) in a testing laboratory setting is ideal.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Microsoft Office knowledge is preferred.
The ability to work within the defined GMP quality system is a must.
This position requires good verbal/written communication skills.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment, stamina to sit and stand for extended periods, ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, vision to read printed materials and computer screens, hearing and speech for communication.
Working Environment Work is performed in a lab, warehouse and office setting. Work is subject to chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors and related items in a lab and sample setting.
