Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Overview: Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of military refrigeration and thermal management systems. This role involves hands‑on engineering, cross‑functional collaboration, and ownership of medium‑complexity projects in a military/aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems
Serve as Project/Cognizant Engineer for assigned projects
Perform drawing checks and ensure compliance with ANSI Y14.5
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers
Qualifications
BSME required; Master’s preferred
5–7+ years of experience in mechanical/electro‑mechanical system design
Hands‑on testing and hardware experience required
Strong knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics
Military or aerospace industry experience required
Experience with hydraulics, controls, basic electronics, and servo mechanisms preferred
Understanding of military specifications and project engineering principles
Additional Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines
