Landscape Construction & Installation Crew Foreman
We’re seeking an experienced and dependable crew foreman to lead crews on commercial and high‑end residential projects in the Modesto area. In this role, you’ll supervise and work alongside a crew to ensure landscape installations are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in irrigation, planting, grading, hard‑scaping, and equipment operation, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Lead and manage a crew of landscape installers on construction and installation projects Oversee daily job‑site operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality control Install and troubleshoot irrigation systems (piping, valves, controllers, sprinkler heads) Execute hard‑scape and soft‑scape installations, including
Grading and soil preparation Planting trees, shrubs, and ground cover Installing bark, mulch, and rock
Operate and maintain equipment including Bobcats, trenchers, and mini excavators Read and interpret landscape plans and ensure proper implementation Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and job progress Coordinate with project managers and clients as needed Train crew members and enforce company policies and safety procedures Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in landscape construction and installation Prior experience leading a crew is required Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape construction methods Ability to read landscape plans and layout projects accordingly Skilled in operating small equipment (Bobcat, mini excavator, trencher) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Benefits
