The Pre-Construction Coordinator plays a key role in the planning and preparation phases of our residential remodeling projects. This position supports the project team by coordinating preconstruction activities, including initial client communication, scope development, estimating, scheduling, and permitting. Working closely with designers, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors, the Preconstruction Coordinator ensures that all elements are in place for a smooth project launch. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a working knowledge of construction and remodeling processes are essential.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients, designers, and sales to understand project goals and expectations

Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, and timelines during the preconstruction phase

Coordinate site visits, takeoffs, and measurements as needed

Gather and organize bids from subcontractors and vendors

Create accurate project estimates and proposal documents

Track and manage preconstruction milestones and deadlines

Facilitate permit applications and monitor their status

Maintain organized project files and ensure all documentation is up to date

Support transition from preconstruction to production, including hand-off meetings

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

3+ years of experience in construction, remodeling, estimating, or project coordination

Experience in residential home building or remodeling strongly preferred

Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and trade practices

Proficient in construction software and estimating tools

Strong knowledge of takeoff software, MS Office (especially Excel), and ability to read architectural plans

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Problem-solving mindset and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits

Willingness to visit job sites, measure spaces, and interact directly with homeowners or clients

Ability to pass a background check if required

Compensation $62,000 per year
