About the Position
As a Patient Service Specialist at our outpatient physical therapy center, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. You will greet, register patients, schedule appointments, and handle related administrative tasks to provide an exceptional experience from front desk to discharge.

Position Type & Schedule Full Time Schedule: Monday‑Friday
Compensation $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
Greet and register patients, provide information about their visit and next appointment at check‑out
Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
Maintain regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation agencies, and operational leaders
Collect co‑pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of medical office experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking)
Insurance verification experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day
Manual dexterity for typing (including 10‑key) throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
Ability to carry office supplies up to 10 lbs
Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
