We are seeking part-time Attraction Hosts to join our team in February 2026.
Attractions Hosts
are responsible for enhancing the guest experience through effective communications and engagement and to provide guest support and proper guest flow in all areas of Space Center Houston. Responsibilities and qualifications are shown below: POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES: Proactively communicate and engage with Space Center Houston guests to enhance the guest experience. Communications may include welcoming greetings; directions and assisting with day planning; and information about exhibits and artifacts. Communications may also include information about Space Center Houston operations including tour and show times, hours of operation, programs and special events. Respond promptly to guest questions or needs including communicating concerns or challenging situations to the appropriate supervisory level. Responsible for proper guest flow in loading and unloading theaters and as guest move through each exhibit space. Accurately document guest counts in each area as assigned. Communicate and engage with guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Provide memorable interactions with guests. Work in assigned zones that will rotate throughout the day. Effectively move through the assigned areas to engage guests in conversation. Place safety first when carrying out position duties. Understand and execute all emergency and evacuation procedures and assist guests as needed during urgent situations. Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of one year of work experience in customer service or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner. A genuine desire and willingness to provide an excellent guest experience and proactively interact and engage with guests. Ability to memorize and effectively communicate information. Must have the skills to communicate clearly and comfortably to both small and large groups. Ability to exercise good judgement and sound reasoning in all interactions and decisions. Willingness to work in a variety of work locations within the building including inside and/or outside in various weather conditions. Ability to move through groups and crowded spaces and/or positioned in one location for long periods of time; climb and descend stairs; and work at heights of up to 60 feet above the ground. Ability to follow all safety and evacuation procedures and assist guests in urgent situations. Willingness and availability to work a flexible work schedule which may include various day and evening schedules and weekdays, weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to stand and walk or move around for extended periods (up to 8 hours) throughout the day. Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must have sufficient mobility and dexterity to operate point-of-sale systems, simulators, and other equipment safely. Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment. Requires working indoors in public spaces with varying levels of noise and crowd activity. May require occasional exposure to outdoor elements during special events or activities. Ability to work in close proximity to other team members in confined or high-traffic areas.
