Responsibilities Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Full Time staff member to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role‑modeling to patients. The BHT works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor each patient’s location per the Observation Policy and Procedure.

Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and document any changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.

Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient.

Comply with the established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Location 3550 East Pinchot Avenue, Phoenix, AZ

Schedule This is a per diem, as needed position which will work a minimum of one 12‑hour shift per week.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years.

Current CPR or BLS certification.

Successful completion of the SAMA program including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment.
