GENERAL SUMMARY
The 1882 Cantina Bartender serves food and beverages to restaurant and bar patrons in a friendly, prompt, and courteous manner. The bartender may serve beer, wine, classic drinks as well as create new cocktail recipes. They are also responsible for ensuring that their bars run smoothly and efficiently.
FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and serve drinks to guests, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic beverages.
Maintain cleanliness of bar countertop and assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the entire designated bar area.
Ensure that the bar is stocked with glasses, garnishes, drink mixes, and ice.
Demonstrate proper knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new drinks, and continuously expand knowledge of different types of beverages.
Demonstrate knowledge of all PRC drink recipes.
Be able to suggest and have a working knowledge of high‑end wine and spirits.
Make signature cocktails using creative ingredients, fresh herbs, and other embellishments.
Adhere to cash and operating policies in accordance with the PRC handbook.
Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures for food handling.
Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
Provide impeccable service and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
Access guest preferences and make drink suggestions.
Effectively upsell craft cocktails, wine, and beer, generating sales and revenue growth.
Abide by all liquor laws and policies set forth by PRC.
Other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY The bartender does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / TRAINING A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 2 years of professional bartender experience in an upscale dining establishment. Extensive craft cocktail, spirit, and beer knowledge.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. It requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of the organization.
MATHIC ALICAL SKILLS This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. It also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY This position requires the ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certification.
Must qualify to obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Certification.
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Working knowledge of Micros.
Extensive craft cocktail, spirit, beer and wine knowledge.
Impeccable service standards and attention to detail.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation.

Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
