Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor The Instrument & Electrical Supervisor role is responsible for leading and supervising I&E Mechanics. They assist in achieving optimum results and driving improvements in safety, environmental, quality, cost and reliability by leveraging the full value of all employees. The Supervisor develops I&E personnel through coaching, feedback, and unit assignments – through periodic job performance reviews as needed. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position. It is classified as a Safety Critical role.

Key Responsibilities

Coach and encourage employees to perform mechanical and maintenance skilled work in a safe, efficient and reliable manner, fostering teamwork and pride in the crew.

Ensure workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect.

Ensure all work is done in accordance with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and protocol.

Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations Department, Planner/Scheduler, Operations Supervision, and other personnel as appropriate.

Maintain ongoing communications concerning job status, problems that may arise, and recommended solutions.

Develop, coordinate and issue daily instructions for personnel to meet all day‑to‑day objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability and productivity.

Ensure that tools, equipment, and other resources are available to employees for safe, competent, and timely completion of assigned work.

Assist Planner/Scheduler and other Supervisors in estimating jobs, and resolve workflow problems.

Maintain focus on the long‑term goals of the Company while taking responsibility for daily results and driving improvements in safety, environmental, quality, cost and reliability along with the implementation of changes in policies and procedures.

Conduct monthly safety meetings and toolbox talks with employees, and ensure ongoing compliance of safety rules, safe work practices, and housekeeping.

Foster teamwork across the maintenance and I/E organization and with all other functional groups to ensure activities are well‑aligned.

Manage the performance and development of maintenance personnel through ongoing feedback, annual performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition.

Provide off‑hours coverage as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a manufacturing environment with electrical and/or instrumentation.

Supervisory and coordination skills.

Knowledge of various mechanical equipment and machinery.

Competency with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
