Role Overview
Candidate must have supervisory experience and an ability to logistically manage team movement.
Candidate must be a self‑starter and be willing to drive long distances.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Word and Excel.
Candidate must be capable of obtaining a class A CDL within 90 days of hiring.
Familiarity with heavy equipment is preferred.
Position manages 3 full‑time and 1 part‑time staff members.
Salary Statement The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life
Plan the work schedules based on priorities and deadlines for providing facility and maintenance services.
Identify resource needs, review needs with appropriate management staff and allocate resources accordingly.
Develop and recommend work rules and quality‑control processes impacting operations.
Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local safety‑related rules, regulations and policies and investigate accidents.
Prepare and maintain work reports such as work logs, timesheets and accident reports, etc.
Install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, paint, carpet, appliances, mechanical and other related systems in all facility locations.
Inspect, operate and maintain heating, cooling and ventilation systems (including boiler systems) in all facility locations.
Provide equipment, procedural and systems training to new and existing employees to perform the requisite job skills. This may include conducting regular onsite facility and grounds maintenance safety training.
Responsible for administering the budget line items for maintenance and repair.
Maintain sufficient inventories of tools, parts and supplies to properly service the facility and grounds.
Order, prepare specifications and purchase supplies, equipment and contract work according to required purchasing and bidding procedures.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
Recruit, select, onboard and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures.

What You’ll Need for Success
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
Two (2) years of experience in maintenance, construction or related experience. Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in these areas.
Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.
Possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Advanced knowledge of a variety of trades related to installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and other related systems in all facility locations.
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Advanced knowledge of the tools, methods, practices, materials and equipment used in the building and mechanical trades.
Working knowledge of local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes and rules governing repair, maintenance and construction of facilities.
Working knowledge of and ability to plan, understand and interpret detailed plans, specifications and blueprints.
Ability to make long‑range plans, schedule preventative maintenance and seasonal maintenance as well as prioritize routine and emergency repairs.
Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach and develop employee skillsets.
