Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.

Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.

Loads and unloads truck. Cleans compartment after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.

Performs routine maintenance on vehicle, including but not limited to, daily pre and post trip inspections.

Assist location and Hatchery with operational duties, as time allows, ensuring an efficient production schedule.

Ensure trucks promote a positive image of Peco Foods, Inc. by keeping the interiors and exteriors clean as conditions allow.

Maintain a valid Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times. Valid DOT physical is also required.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

One to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.

Must maintain current DOT medical certification.

Must meet company insurability requirements.

Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

Exposed to dust, odors, fumes, and airborne particles.

Occasionally near moving mechanical parts or equipment.

Subject to moderate noise levels consistent with truck operations and poultry facilities.

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to sit for extended periods, climb in and out of vehicles, walk, reach, talk, and hear.

Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.

Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

Required to use hands and arms for loading, securing cargo, and other job tasks.

Required to have vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
