Basic Qualifications

Must hold a Final DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years prior to start.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent technical education and/or aircraft experience.

Demonstrated use and understanding of Project Management and/or technical skills to lead and conduct analysis of complex sustainment/engineering/supply chain issues.

Job Description You will be a U-2 Degrader Action Cell Lead – Level 4.

What You Will Be Doing As a U‑2 Degrader Action Cell Lead (DAC) – Level 4, you will collaborate across engineering, logistics, and program teams to implement strategic actions that enhance fleet availability and reduce life‑cycle costs.

Responsibilities

Lead cross‑functional projects focused on sustainment improvements and cost‑reduction initiatives for the U‑2 fleet.

Investigate and analyze performance degraders, supply‑chain posture, and maintenance practices to recommend actionable solutions.

Support the development and optimization of maintenance plans, including updates to existing procedures and documentation.

Drive project lifecycles end‑to‑end—from identification and triage, through solution development, implementation, and closure.

Prepare and deliver high‑level briefings to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.

Communicate technical analysis, project impacts, associated risks, and expected efficiencies.

Further Information About This Opportunity This position can be performed in Palmdale, CA or Marietta, GA.

Desired Skills

Previous experience with aircraft platforms preferred (not required).

Experience with Root Cause, Corrective Actions (Six Sigma), or similar and performing analysis based on findings.

Understanding of aircraft performance metrics, supply‑status reporting and parts performance indicators (production/maintenance control).

Experience with analysis tools, SFM, SAP, data management, or comparative analysis.

Proficiency with workflow management tools (Jira, Confluence, Tableau).

Work Schedule & Telecommute On‑site full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. No telecommuting.

For other states, the salary range reflects the final work location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

Premium Pay Statement Annual base salary range for most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 – $217,695. For other states, the salary range reflects the final work location. Benefits are the same as listed in the national pay statement.
