You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. Job Overview For starters, no day is the same. You’ll get to work on lots of different types of equipment—not just one manufacturer. We work hard to get the job done, but we also make sure you have the time you need to do the job right. Safety and reliability are our top priorities. Working alongside experienced supervisors and master technicians, we’ll teach you about our vehicle maintenance processes and the cutting‑edge technology we use. We will ensure you receive industry‑certified training you need to succeed and grow your career.
Main Responsibilities
Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as replacing or rotating tires, component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
Partner with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
Valid driver’s license
Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Basic computer skills
Ability to follow specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and company policies
Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool use, PPE, machine guarding, and safety practices
Regular, predictable, full attendance required
Driving requirements: current driver qualification file, DOT physical, safety performance history, background checks; CDL holders must pass a DOT drug screening within 30 days and FMCSA clearance
Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete employment application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and possible travel for training
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during scheduled working time
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate required tools or controls on a routine basis
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
Work safely under all weather conditions
Navigate work environment safely with visibility and hearing
Lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly, up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally, and push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs
