Smile New York Outreach, a school‑based mobile dental practice, seeks a
Registered Dental Hygienist
in Manhattan, NY and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools.

Qualifications
Must hold an active RDH license.
1+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Valid State ID, reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
Works well with children and adults; teamwork oriented.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment; organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.
Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
Current CPR (BLS) certification with hands‑on live skills assessment.
Able to walk several flights of stairs, as many schools have no elevators.
Responsibilities
Assist with oral health management of all patients; be a team player at all times.
Verify patient identity using name and date of birth prior to treatment; place initials on the medical chart.
Obtain oral health assessment of each patient (new‑baseline; follow‑up).
Review medical history and other pertinent oral health information.
Provide oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis scaling, sealant application, and fluoride application consistent with best practices.
Assist the dentist as directed.
Provide oral health education and individual counseling to each patient according to known practices.
Document provided dental services on the patient’s chart.
Daily travel to and from school sites.
Offers
Evenings, weekends and summers off.
School‑day schedule (~6–7 hours, 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.).
Benefit package (health, dental, vision).
Unique work experience and flexible scheduling.
Full and part‑time positions.
$42–$60 per hour.
State‑of‑the‑art portable dental equipment; latest technology & digital radiography.
