Field Service Engineer – Automation Industry
ProAutomated is soliciting applications for a Field Service Engineer who partners with automation and controls engineers to ensure customers’ systems operate flawlessly.

What You’ll Do
Support data center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems in food and beverage.
Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on‑site.
Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams.
Travel rotations: 5 on – 2 off, 10 on – 4 off, or 14 on – 7 off. Every project brings new challenges and locations.
What We’re Looking For
Love travel; away from home on rotation (logistics handled). Must live within 50 miles of a major airport.
Preferred: working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Adaptable and gritty; thrive when plans change.
Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment (for local projects).
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Technical degree or equivalent experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Physical Requirements
Walk long distances across large facilities.
Climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights.
Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods.
Work in varied environments (construction sites, outdoor, hot/cold).
