Chiller Service Technician – Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC – Reno, NV, United States
We're seeking a Chiller Service Technician in Reno, NV to service large tonnage chillers for casinos, hotels, and commercial properties.

Support hospitality operations by maintaining reliable chilled water systems for guest comfort and process cooling
Minimize downtime for gaming and hotel operations through proactive chiller maintenance
Optimize energy performance and reduce utility costs through expert chiller tuning
Extend equipment life and protect client investments by conducting comprehensive preventive maintenance
Deliver responsive service that supports 24/7 casino and hotel operations
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on commercial chillers including centrifugal, screw, reciprocating, and scroll models
Troubleshoot and repair chiller system failures involving compressors, motors, starter panels, and control systems
Conduct oil analysis, refrigerant leak testing, and vibration monitoring to detect early equipment issues
Manage chiller water treatment programs to prevent scaling, corrosion, and biological growth
Respond to emergency service calls to restore cooling operations at any hour
Inspect cooling towers, condenser water pumps, and chilled water distribution systems
Document service activities and provide detailed technical reports to facility engineers
Coordinate equipment shutdowns and major repairs with casino operations teams
Provide technical guidance and training to building engineering staff
Requirements Must-Haves
5+ years of commercial chiller service experience
EPA Universal refrigerant certification
Strong diagnostic skills for large tonnage chillers and control systems
Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Nice-to-Haves
OEM factory training from major chiller manufacturers
Experience with hospitality chiller systems and 24/7 operations
Knowledge of VFD drives and building automation systems
OSHA 30 certification
