Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer (T-01 level) / Systems Engineer (T02 level). This position is located in

Roy, UT

and supports the

Sentinel

program.

What you’ll get to do

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Training Systems and Devices

Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Training Systems and Devices

Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Architecture development

Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements as applicable to support equipment, Training Systems and Devices for total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications using DOORS

Develops Architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets

Ensure Training Systems and Devices requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program

Basic Qualifications This requisition may be filled at either the

Associate Systems Engineer

level (T-01) or

Systems Engineer

level (T-02).

Associate Systems Engineer Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 1 year of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.

Systems Engineer Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.

Required for Both Levels

Must be a US Citizen with an

active DoD Secret Clearance , at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Knowledge/training in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Tools (Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody or similar)

Knowledge/Experience with Requirements management tools (DOORS, for example)

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of System Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration

Experience with the following tools: CAMEO, DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA

Understands Support Equipment and uses, i.e., Peculiar (PSE) and Common (CSE) Support Equipment

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering

Experience with large scale aerospace/defense projects

Experience with Training Systems and Devices

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
