Britt, Peters & Associates is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Greenville, SC office. Responsibilities include the design of facilities-related sites in support of a variety of markets including Commercial, Education, Industrial, Institutional and Retail/Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of civil engineering experience, project management experience, solid technical skills, and client development/relationship expertise.
Responsibilities
Participate in the design, development, creation and maintenance of small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
Conduct or participate in on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up plans that satisfy technical specifications
Assess potential risks, materials, and costs
Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
Oversee and mentor more junior staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
Coordinate with AHJ and utility providers for permit approvals
Requirements
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as Civil3D, Hydraflow, Bluebeam and SEDCAD
Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Licensed professional engineer preferred
BS/MA in Civil Engineering
