Fivetran is looking for a highly driven, strategic and proactive Program Manager for Global Employee Benefits to join the People Team. Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of our roadmap for Global Benefits and Wellbeing aligned to our organizational goals. This is a full‑time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in‑person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
What You’ll Do
Utilize your experience and expertise of benefits and project management to manage projects from initial concept through delivery
Coordinate resources to ensure projects are delivered both on time and accurately
Effectively manage multiple, complex projects and deadlines, collaborate with internal and external teams
Serve as the subject matter expert on benefit programs; resolve complex benefit issues, escalations and close them in a timely manner
Manage and oversee global compliance and audit related tasks, including reviewing plans for updates and implementing necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance
Facilitate annual audits for benefits, prioritizing changes or improvement plans as needed
Provide oversight for 401K and pension plans to ensure compliance and effective management
Conduct effective vendor management activities, including regularly scheduled vendor partner meetings to review improvement opportunities and employee satisfaction, monitor service‑related performance guarantee results, execute service improvement plans when necessary, and lead the implementation of new benefit vendors and program changes
Gather and analyze benchmarking information to ensure our benefit programs are market competitive, and partner with brokers to conduct annual benefit evaluations and provide recommendations on alignment with the global benefits strategy, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Review and update time‑off and leave programs on an annual basis or as needed based on local compliance requirements
Support HR Ops partners with any escalated leave and accommodation requests, offering guidance on compliance requirements
Design, oversee and ensure the effective execution of global wellbeing programs
Collaborate with finance in the development and ongoing management of the annual budget
Develop communication plans and resources that effectively convey benefit programs across the entire employee population
Develop, support and manage employee‑facing benefit programs, policies, and content
Lead the design, implementation and management of wellbeing programs, including overseeing both content creation and the rollout of the initiatives calendar
Create content for and facilitate benefit trainings to partner teams and/or external vendors
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience in benefits in a fast‑paced organization
2+ years HRIS experience related to benefits preferably in Workday
Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, program management, and collaboration within the COE, leveraging data to inform leave and benefit program design
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver effective solutions
Expertise in global statutory benefit requirements
Proven track record of handling sensitive and confidential data while upholding employee confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other global data privacy regulations
Ability to manage projects autonomously to completion, including working through and with HR, Legal and vendors
Proven success in Vendor Management – hold vendors/consultants/brokers accountable for customer experience, service delivery and ensuring plans are operating accurately
The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role. Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Our job titles may span more than one career level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. Oakland Pay Range $172,480 — $215,600 USD
