Senior Accountant – Monroe, NC
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant position based in Monroe, NC at the corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures including:
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Review of preliminary income statement and key balance sheet accounts by division/entity to ensure financials are correctly stated
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Proactively research and resolve account variances and communicate resolution to divisional controllers as necessary
Oversee fixed asset maintenance and reporting for multiple divisions including participating in system set up review and implementing changes
Test and analyze accounting systems as required for implementation of new systems or changes to existing platforms
Work closely with multiple divisions finance and operations groups to respond to ad hoc requests
Assist in the development and maintenance of procedural documentation
Support inventory count process across US & Canada branches
Mentor/Train Staff Accountants and Accountants as necessary
Provide direction for staff accountants and review certain staff reconciliations
Ensure all intercompany activities are correctly recorded and eliminate in consolidation including preparing inter-group statements and researching/resolving balancing issues
Work with the Controller on special projects requiring detailed activity analysis
Senior Accountant - Continued Requirements
Bachelor’s in Accounting required
Ideal candidate would have some combination of public audit and industry experience or 3-4 years of industry experience as an active participant in financial reporting and detailed sub-ledger reconciliations
Ability to travel for inventory counts across US and Canada (10-20%)
Advanced MS Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Exposure to large financial information systems such as Oracle, JDE, SAP, HFM or AX
Ideal candidate thrives in changing environment where structure is developing and procedures are evolving
Naturally possesses a “roll up sleeves” attitude where chipping in regardless of title is valued
Independent self-starter who can monitor own deadlines and easily shift focus when necessary
