Responsibilities
Operate high quality andrology and assisted reproductive technology (ART) laboratories.
Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, FDA, and SART regulations and complete QA and QC activities.
Perform semen analyses and sperm washes.
Perform ART procedures including oocyte identification, oocyte insemination, intracytoplasmic sperm insemination (ICSI), embryo culture, and assisted hatching.
Assist with embryo biopsy for PGD/PGS and embryo transfer.
Teach medical and graduate students laboratory embryology and andrology techniques as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years experience in andrology or embryology laboratories.
Experience in an academic medical center (preferred).
B.S. in biology or a related field.
Additional Position Requirements
Rotating weekend coverage required.
Some evening work required.
Physical Requirements
Physical lifting 20-50 lbs.
Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking, climbing stairs/ladder, reaching overhead, repetitive keyboard/mouse motions.
Mental/sensory: strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.
Emotional: fast‑pace environment, steady pace, ability to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, adaptability to frequent change.
