Quinlan Partners is a leading boutique investigations, due diligence, and business intelligence firm that is seeking an Associate to join our business intelligence research team in Charleston. This person will contribute to both our investigative research initiatives by conducting research related to our business intelligence and due diligence projects, and support our operations team by ensuring that our client engagements are on track.
This is a full-time position with benefits located in our Charleston, SC office (hybrid work arrangement).
What You Will Do:
Conduct research to identify individuals of interest using LinkedIn, people finder databases, our proprietary systems, commercial databases, and general internet research.
Conduct market and business intelligence research on topics, companies, or industries of interest to support ongoing projects for clients.
Report Preparation
Compile quantitative and qualitative information for our team of investigative interviewers; perform follow-up research as needed to assist investigators.
Enter research findings into Quinlan’s internal project management database.
Assist teams in producing client-ready deliverables for upcoming client meetings/status reports.
Project Management
Partner with research and investigative teams to ensure client engagements and project deliverables are on track; provide support and follow-up as needed to ensure teams are equipped with the information needed.
Create, copy, edit, organize and track inbound and outbound documents (e.g., interview transcripts) to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality control.
Maintain project timelines and records/documents within Quinlan’s project management system to ensure teams are aligned and up-to-date on project statuses.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, journalism, marketing, English, history, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a research-oriented or project management role. Experience in a research-oriented role at a professional services firm is strongly preferred.
Exceptional multitasking skills when handling competing priorities/deadlines.
Strong investigative instincts when conducting online research.
Proactive mindset.
Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to communicate across teams and levels of an organization.
Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
Experience working within a project management database/software; comfortable with cloud-based documents (e.g., Google Sheets, Salesforce, etc.).
Proficient in the MS Office suite, Google suite, and team communication/collaboration tools and apps (e.g., Slack).
