The Facility Maintenance Lead will lead the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and maintaining grounds by performing the following duties.
Overview Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
Leads workers engaged in ground maintenance activities such as snow removal.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
Interprets company policies as needed to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Ensures the Building Maintenance department and employees are in accordance with its Department Operating Plan (DOP).
Snow removal as required. This includes possessing the ability or learning the safe and efficient operations of our Cat Skid Steer snow blower, any Honda snowblowers and using safe snow shoveling and ice abatement techniques.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May directly supervise employees in the Building Maintenance department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Intermediate or above skiing or snowboarding ability desirable.
25 years of age or older.
Experience driving over‑snow vehicles (snowmobiles, UTV’s and/or snowcats) highly desirable.
Experience operating heavy equipment, Summer, and Winter, desirable.
Personal tools for work may not be required.
Language Skills
Literate and fluent in English.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Additional language(s) desirable.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry desirable.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, mathematical, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Have excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Certifications and Levels
Valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or 1‑2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable.
Prior Facility Maintenance experience desirable.
