We are a veterinarian-owned, non-corporate practice, run and operated by the DVM. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team. RVT license is a plus! This role involves both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities, supporting patient care from intake through discharge. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling animals, communicating with clients, and assisting with medical procedures while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. Key Responsibilities

Patient Intake & Medical Support

Check in patients and obtain accurate medical histories Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures Safely restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and diagnostics Collect samples including blood, urine, fecal, and other diagnostic specimens Administer vaccines when applicable and in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols Perform routine procedures such as anal gland expressions and nail trims (“pedicures”) Laboratory & Technical Duties

Operate and maintain in‑house laboratory equipment Prepare and process diagnostic samples Assist with anesthesia monitoring (experience preferred) Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Client Communication & Education

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients in person and over the phone Educate clients on post‑visit care, medications, and preventive health Discharge patients and review instructions to ensure client understanding Provide excellent customer service and support clinic workflow Cross‑Training & Clinic Support

Cross‑trained to assist at the front desk and in the treatment area Support scheduling, phone calls, and basic administrative tasks as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and work areas Adhere to clinic protocols, safety procedures, and infection control standards Qualifications

Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience preferred Comfort with animal handling and restraint Experience with sample collection and in‑house lab equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Anesthesia monitoring experience preferred but not required Willingness to cross‑train and work collaboratively with the team Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and restrain animals safely Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Manual dexterity for handling instruments and samples
