Phlebotomist II Float
– Eustis, FL – Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotational weekends.
Overview Quest Diagnostics seeks a dynamic Phlebotomist II Floater who will provide quality blood collection services across multiple patient service centers. The role includes patient interaction, specimen handling, and occasional mentoring of new staff. Key Responsibilities
Assigned to cover phlebotomy duties within Patient Service Centers, doctor's offices, or site as needed.
Collect quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Perform other specimen collection (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance examinations) per established protocols.
Enter billing information, collect payments when required.
Coach, mentor, and advise new employees; serve as point of contact and communicate regularly with the group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional healthcare sites as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Strong communication skills in English.
