Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical ICU 36 Hours Day/Night Rotation with an every third weekend commitment and holiday rotation.

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24 - bed high acuity unit with clinical specialties in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a level one trauma center, we work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, patient centered care. In addition, this unit sees a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies. Our nurses are experts in caring for these patient populations and are continuously enhancing their knowledge to ensure we are up to date with the latest practices and technologies. We, as members of this team, are committed to the delivery of safe, high‑quality care to our patients and their families.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and medication administration. Computerized self‑scheduling is available along with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

BSN preferred

BLS required; ACLS certification preferred

At least 1 year of previous nursing experience in acute care or sub‑acute setting required

Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred

Massachusetts registered Nurse license required

Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs

Pay Range: $37.00 - $95.37

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
