Location: Joint appointment between the Department of Entomology, University of Georgia—Tifton Campus and the USDA-ARS Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory, Byron, GA. Applicant will be based at Byron, located 15 miles south of Macon on I-75.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for literature review, experimental design, implementation and publication of hypothesis‑driven experiments using entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi (60% of time). Working environments include lab, greenhouse and field.
Maintenance of insect and plant colonies (25% of time). Working environments include lab and greenhouse and may include planting, watering and weeding.
Writes protocols and directs research staff to assist with laboratory operations (15% of time).
