Geotechnical Technician – The Mosaic Company
The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) is the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash. We look for a Geotechnical Technician to assist with day‑to‑day activities associated with perimeter ditch and berm systems, recharge ditches, pipeline crossings, water‑holding mined lands and above‑grade impoundments.
Location South Pasture Mine, 2220 Mine View Road, Bowling Green, FL 33834
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to reclamation, environmental, mine dewatering and operations staff with implementation of best management practices and water table mitigation programs.
Accumulate data and compile reports for regulatory agency reporting, compliance and permitting purposes involving clay slurry station pumping data and piezometers.
Coordinate and oversee remedial activities and construction/maintenance of perimeter ditch and berm systems, recharge ditches, pipeline crossings, water‑holding mined lands, non‑clay and clay settling areas and hydraulic systems.
Daily inspections of dams, gather information and evaluate findings to ensure compliance and determine if remedial action is necessary.
Qualifications
High School or GED required.
1+ year related experience in a geotechnical or related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Entry level).
