Senior Geospatial Analyst – Calibration Specialist Dewberry is currently seeking a Sr Geospatial Analyst / LiDAR Calibration Specialist in our Tampa, FL or Fairfax, VA offices. Remote positions will be considered pending experience. Responsibilities

Perform quality checks on data post acquisition.

Airborne and/or mobile trajectory processing.

Process and extract LiDAR data from raw formats.

Perform relative and absolute adjustments to LiDAR data (calibration/alignment/registration).

Perform QA/QC on processed data to meet rigorous accuracy requirements.

Review and validate post‑processed LiDAR data sets for completeness and accuracy.

Verify that data meets point density, spatial distribution, and classification requirements.

Perform quality checks against project specifications, industry standards, and client guidelines.

Assess point cloud characteristics including noise, gaps, overlap, and vertical/horizontal accuracy.

Document QA/QC findings and communicate results to project managers and technical staff.

Create a variety of digital mapping and remotely sensed products using various software platforms.

Create and manipulate databases.

Perform elevation data processing and manipulation.

Develop LiDAR macros.

Problem solve; write reports; create scripts/models/macros in multiple GIS/LiDAR platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.

5+ years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing field.

Experience in LiDAR data extraction and/or swath alignment.

Required experience in LiDAR processing and elevation model creation/manipulation.

In‑depth knowledge of ESRI’s software.

Experience with Terrascan.

PLTS toolkit experience a plus.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
