Responsibilities
Complete all maintenance service requests, including basic general repairs (drywall, painting, carpentry, HVAC, and other appliances) in a timely manner.
Occasionally work "on call" as needed and/or on a non‑traditional schedule, such as special events and weekends.
Assist with turnkey operations by preparing vacant units rent‑ready in a timely manner, performing various repairs, and accurately posting the status of work orders.
Assist with plumbing system issues, including replacing faucets, toilets, hot water tanks, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water‑dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines.
Complete grounds work, including picking up trash, sweeping, pressure washing, clearing dumpsters, and maintaining the landscape.
Comply with all safety standards within OSHA specifications as well as company guidelines, reporting any discrepancies immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Completion of high school/GED or specialized vocational training.
1+ years of experience in building and facility maintenance preferred (handyman, home repairs, renovations, DIY projects, etc.).
Licensing and trade certification in HVAC, Electrical Wiring, or Plumbing highly desired.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; intermediate reading, writing, and speaking in English for diagrams, meters, instructions, and reports.
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work harmoniously with staff, vendors, contractors, and residents.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking with strong accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential resident information.
Availability to work overtime, on call, and on a non‑traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Positive energy and high attitude to contribute to an awesome team atmosphere.
Drive to support the maintenance team and the property using your maintenance skills/background.
Must have a valid Driver’s License, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
